Seller Policies

Overview

When a buyer makes a purchase on ShopAYG.com, they trust they’ll receive their order in a timely manner, their item(s) will be as described in the listing, and they’ll be provided a memorable customer service experience. By providing a great experience every time a customer engages with your products, you’re more likely to receive more positive reviews, word of mouth promotion, and increased traffic from repeat buyers.

As a seller on ShopAYG.com, you’re expected to:

  • Prepare and ship orders within your chosen processing times and “ship by” dates
  • Set realistic expectations with accurate listing descriptions and images
  • Respond to communication from AskYourGirls promptly with resolution-focused customer service
  • Treat shoppers and fellow sellers with respect and courtesy

Customer Service Performance

We review shops holistically, considering several factors when performance is assessed. These factors include, and aren’t limited to, on-time shipping rate, communication in Messages, cases, reviews, and tenure. We monitor patterns that may lead to negative experiences for buyers, such as potentially unmanageable surges in order volume, late shipping, or lack of communication.

As the seller, you are responsible for managing orders and customer service requests in a timely manner. If AskYourGirls receives complaints regarding your store, AskYourGirls reserves the right to:

  • Hold you financially responsible for damages
  • Remove listings from our site
  • Suspend or terminate your account
  • Delay disbursements to your payment account

We know some orders won’t go as expected despite your best efforts. As long as AskYourGirls’ customer service expectations have been met, AskYourGirls:

  • won’t hold you financially responsible for certain circumstances beyond your control, such as delays caused by the shipping service and items lost in transit that were shipped on time.
  • accounts for the possibility of isolated situations that may impact your shop (for example, a seller may live in an area affected by an unforeseen natural disaster).
  • excludes low reviews and cases from buyers who misuse the review system or open a case by accident.

We believe it’s important for you to work with your buyer when there’s an issue. For example, if a buyer’s order arrives damaged or seems lost in transit, you could assist them with filing a postal claim. If a buyer leaves an unfavorable review, you might propose a resolution that works for both of you. When a seller’s customer service is measured, we review how the seller addresses issues from a customer service standpoint as well as what’s being done to prevent similar situations in the future.

Intellectual Property Policy

We comply with intellectual property laws and industry best practices in order to maintain the integrity of our marketplace. This Intellectual Property Policy explains how we address allegations of infringement, how authorized parties can submit proper notices of infringement regarding content on our marketplace, and how sellers can respond when their listings or shops are affected by a notice.

This policy is a part of our Terms of Use.

AskYourGirls’ Role

ShopAYG.com is a marketplace comprised of individual third¬-party sellers who are responsible for their inventory, shipments, and complying with the law. AskYourGirls does not manufacture goods, hold inventory, or ship items on behalf of our sellers. The content uploaded on ShopAYG.com is generated by independent sellers who are not employees, agents, or representatives of AskYourGirls. Sellers are responsible for ensuring they have all necessary rights to their content and that they are not infringing or violating any third party’s rights by posting it.

AskYourGirls reserves the right to disable any listing, shop, or account that we believe violates our Terms of Use, including this Intellectual Property Policy or our Prohibited Items Policy. AskYourGirls also reserves the right to take action against abusers of AskYourGirls’s Intellectual Property Policy or our Terms of Use.

AskYourGirls can’t speak on behalf of intellectual property owners, nor is AskYourGirls in a position to make legal determinations whether a shop’s content infringes someone else’s intellectual property. AskYourGirls will remove material cited for alleged intellectual property infringement when provided with a proper notice.

Notices of Intellectual Property Infringement

AskYourGirls strives to respond quickly when we receive proper notice of intellectual property infringement by removing or disabling access to the allegedly infringing material. When AskYourGirls removes or disables access in response to a notice, AskYourGirls makes a reasonable attempt to contact the affected member and provide information about the notice and removal. AskYourGirls may also provide a copy of the infringement notice, including the name and email address of the reporting party, to the affected member.

Please use AskYourGirls’s Reporting Form to provide notice of claimed infringement and for other intellectual property claims: www.shopayg.com/IntellectualReport. Using the form is the fastest way for us to address your claim.

If you are not able to use the reporting form, please contact us at info@askyourgirls.com

AskYourGirls may request additional information before processing a notice, such as identity verification of the reporting party or documentation regarding the claimed right. AskYourGirls may reject notices that contain information we believe is false, fraudulent, incomplete, or otherwise submitted in bad faith. AskYourGirls also reserves the right to take action against abusers of this policy.

Repeat Infringement

AskYourGirls terminates selling privileges of members who are subject to repeat or multiple notices of intellectual property infringement in appropriate circumstances and at AskYourGirls’s discretion. If we believe a member has attempted to open a new account after termination of the initial account, we reserve the right to refuse all services to that member. These actions apply to any accounts we believe are associated with or operated by the affected member. Per our Terms of Use, AskYourGirls reserves the right to terminate account privileges at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice.

Notice Withdrawals

AskYourGirls only accepts withdrawals of infringement notices directly from the intellectual property owner or authorized representative who submitted the claim. The withdrawal must clearly state that it is a formal withdrawal and sufficiently identify the member and/or material (such as by providing the username and AskYourGirls product listing URLs).

Once AskYourGirls receives a formal withdrawal of a notice of infringement, AskYourGirls makes reasonable attempts to contact both parties involved to confirm receipt from the party submitting the withdrawal and to inform the member affected by the withdrawal. Please note that infringement matters are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and withdrawals do not guarantee changes to a member’s shop status.
